Well, hello beauties! The other day, I was talking to my kiddo about make-up and the conversation turned to hot flashes. For what now seems like forever, I’ve been harassed by these bothersome things. Let me tell you, there is nothing worse than just finishing your “beat”, feeling fly, when a hot flash is like BOOM!
Here you are, trying to look amazing, but the little sweat beads on your forehead and glistening on your upper lip don’t want you to be great!
Without the proper tools, you may just end up looking like a hot mess with what I call a makeup melt! So, I wanted to share with you today some tips to keep your makeup fabulous girl! Even during a hot flash!
To make this happen, you will need:
Moisturizer. Start with a great moisturizer, as it is the foundation for your makeup. It should be sweat proof like Saturday Skin’s Pretty Pop Probiotic Power Whipped Cream.
Primer. I actually use two. I’m a fan of Urban Decay’s All Nighter Primer. It’s worth every dime. I put this on first; mainly focusing on under my eyes. After using the first primer, I spray a liquid primer from Skindinavia on top. The primers will fill and smooth skin.
Foundation. MAC has a great waterproof foundation (Pro Longwear Waterproof Foundation).
Setting Powder. I use the MAC Set Powder.
Eyes. You’ll want to also use a waterproof Eyeliner and Mascara. I prefer MAC brands for eyeliner (MAC Liquidlast Liner Point Black) and Better Than Sex for my mascara. What you don’t want is black tears, when you’re sweating out your non-waterproof eye makeup
Lipstick. Matte or Stains won’t smudge. I still love a great matte, but I’ve incorporated stains into my rotation also.
Seal the Deal. I seal all my makeup with a finishing/setting spray. I use Urban Decay’s All Nighter or Skindinavia’s Finishing spray. Both are fantastic!
Don’t forget to carry blotting papers with you, to help you along should you get those intense flashes. Ladies, this too shall pass!
All make-up is linked above.
Until next time, love and light!
