Pic & Pay: Spreading Kindness Globally Along with Shoes

Hey there, Stylistas!

I can remember as a child, my mother would always make sure that my sister Donna and I had the best shoes.  Our trips to this well known children’s shoe store often times ended with her saying, “Do you want to wear your new shoes out of the store?”  My answer was always an emphatic, YES!  So, along with my love for style and fashion, shoes are right up there at the top of the list!

I recently partnered with Pic & Pay, a women’s footwear brand which offers classic styles that are cut for the modern woman. Their shoes are affordable yet offer a fashionable touch for a number of occasions, including your office work days, nights out on the town or fun days spent with friends and family!

I fell in love with the Cayden, which is a crossover, metallic sling back sandal.  The bottom of the shoe has a white, rubber bottom and is super dooper comfortable.

For this post, I paired the sandals with an African printed wrap skirt and off the shoulder blouse.  It was blazing hot in Los Angeles on this particular day, and I needed to have on sandals!  Cayden came through!  And after my Saturday shopping, I returned home with feet that didn’t feel like I was walking for 3 hours!

One more important thing about the company, Pic & Pay.  When you purchase a pair of their shoes, a percentage will go towards spreading kindness globally.  They have established a network of “Forwarders”, who are ambassadors that are encouraged to spread random acts of kindness. When you do a good deed for someone, tell them to go pay it forward and watch the ripple effect that a simple act can create.

They also have a partnership with Soles4Souls, a non-profit social enterprise that creates jobs and provides relief through the distribution of shoes and clothing around the globe. This non-profit has distributed more than 30 million pairs of new and used shoes in 127 countries.  And Pic & Pay has donated over 13,000 pairs of shoes to those who need them the most.

Shoes for causes?!  I think I’m on to something here.  And it feels good!

Until next time, love and light.

Julie
