I recently read a posting that defined a #girlgang as “fearless ladies who exude self-confidence and build their fellow sisters up – not tear them down. My #girlgang fits the bill.
My tribe of sister friends help me to break up the monotony of life; they straighten me out, motivate/inspire, pray for me and boy, do they make me laugh! I know I feel and do the same for them. (At least I hope so, lol!) They are amazing mothers, sisters, aunties, educators, artists and entrepreneurs. They are experienced, intelligent, sexy, hilarious, and I can keep going… And for the record, five dynamic ladies are missing from the photos!
A couple of weekends ago, I decided to bring them all together for a WAKE. PRAY. SLAY. party, because they all exude the term in their everyday lives; one way or another. And hey, I just needed an excuse to chomp it up. Thanks Val!
“I think if I’ve learned anything about friendship, it’s to hang in, stay connected, fight for them, and let them fight for you. Don’t walk away, don’t be distracted, don’t be too busy or tired, don’t take them for granted. Friends are part of the glue that holds life and faith together. Powerful stuff.” – J. Katz
